Since Ryan posited the immortal question, “Who knows what Trey’s up to…” I figured it was as good a time as any to confuse and bemuddle the masses. I’ve been working almost non-stop for the past three months doing what must be 2.5 full time jobs. I’m still doing live tv at night, and turning The Iris into a real company by day, with equal help from Allison I should add, except her schedule is flopped. A while ago she was promoted to the Creative Services/Marketing department as a graphic designer. (Whoo-hoo!) But her schedule is now firmly cemented with the Daywalkers. (Boo!) Her new job, though, is  lot more demanding, and I’m amazed at how she’s able to devote as much time as she has to our personal venture. I envy how she can balance the two, which only adds to how much I love her. So, we’ve been very busy shooting weddings and I have to say, the business is growing steadily. I’m even looking into getting certified as a court/legal videographer starting in September, as to get the ball rolling with the plan to expand The Iris into different markets. All of this, of course, leaves little time to write… But the stories are still strong as ever, and new ideas haven’t ceased yet. Though, it’s still depressing not to be doing something purely creative, I remind myself in doing these things, I’m providing myself the means to take those stories and ideas to the next level and actually do something with them. Or, making what I would have done with them even better.  And believe me (or don’t), I will. Until then:
