Indiana Jones/Harrison Ford may be an old guy, but I’m not wondering if there’ll be another Indy movie. Honestly, 65 years is young in my book, so there’s plenty of time for another film. The fact remains, though, many more Indiana Jones adventures live in our memories than in our movie-going hopes for the future. At least, those starring Harrison Ford.

These thoughts of age and the former glory of cinema are what brought about this post. You see, what I’m really searching for is an answer to whether or not there will ever be a movie (or series of movies) that captures the sense of awe and adventure that Indiana Jones did.

It’s been almost twenty years since Indiana Jones went on his Last Crusade, and now the esteemed adventurer and archaeologist has returned to venture to the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. The film brings back almost all the hallmarks that make for an Indiana Jones movie: Harrison Ford, Steven Spielberg as director, music by John Williams, a sidekick, a love interest, multitudes of creepy animals, and a villain representing an evil national government. Just like old times.

So, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is finally out. As a bit of a fan of the movies, how do I intend to celebrate? Well, for starters, how about going back to an old rule I used to have (before Trey broke it for me).

What is Red Ray, you ask. As of right now, it’s nothing more than a design on a drawing board, a chunk of metal in a glass case, and lot’s of R&D.
