I entered! Also, Opencut created some additional entry options. Since I’m going through the trouble of getting the footage used in the contest, anyone can copy the materials I receive. And the entry fee for people doing this is cheaper than what I paid!

Ryan, why are you not doing this?

Among their requirements is Apple brand hardware and software. I also didn’t have a 250GB drive to send them for the footage.
Now, I’d certainly like to play with the footage, but I don’t think I have the time for the contest. I’ve got so many projects this summer already.

Actually, the Apple hardware/software is incorrect. You can edit with any and every tool at your disposal. You could even hire someone to cut it for you. Heck, you could rent an entire post house if you wanted, because they don’t even care how many people are involved per entry!
I’ll definitely give you the footage, Ryan. And though I realize you’re busy, I was hoping you could help in some form or fashion as well.

Yeah, I was going by their entry page; but I understand it’s a suggestion. Cutting the Red camera footage together, though, would still take the capabilities of a decent Mac Pro.
And I’m more than willing to help … my comment was just that I wasn’t able to compete by myself.
