Just a quick post here, but something I think is very interesting.
The Pirate’s Dilemma is a book on punk capitalism/alternative business models. And if you don’t know what those are, then you don’t know where the media world is heading.

So check out the website and read the book!

I just found out today.

I’m not sure I can comprehend how much Stan’s work has influenced me. He was a singular source of my imagination while growing up (and still is).

Stan Winston: A person who found his gift and shared it with the world.

After much thinking/analyzing/strategizing on my life, I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s extremely likely I need to go back to school.
In a kind of take two steps back to take a huge leap forward, I realize I need a concentrated yet thorough experience that’s going to fill the gaps in my abilities and hone everything to the point of Jedi like mastery and control of the creation process.
Could I teach myself instead? Well, yeah, that’s what I have been doing, and I’ve come farther than anybody can imagine or even realizes.
But that’s not enough.
It’s not as though all my efforts have been wasted. Quite the contrary, I wouldn’t have reached this point without my past pursuits and experiences. I merely evolved into a person who can actually benefit from a school to its fullest extent. Kind of like how martial artists don’t really learn anything until they’ve reached their black belt.
I’m not going to whatever school either. There are a lot of pre-conceived notions people will use to smooth out the pits of vagueness about what I’m discussing here. And I expect to hear good/bad positive/negative opinions about it all.
Just trust that I have a plan.
