Omega13 Story Challenge 2007

-or- Around Ninety Pages in 60 Days.

POST CHALLENGE WRAP-UP

So, things didn’t work out like we’d planned. Trey’s work made his life miserable, and really pushed him away from any real progress on his story. I, on the other hand, have made quite a bit of progress, writing my own screenplay within the eight weeks. I only took one week off.

Now, I should point out that my life wasn’t too pleasant during this period of time, either. Visits from the police, job problems, and a big three-week Easter drama at my church all made my life quite interesting.

All said and done, I have no regrets of this challenge. In fact, I kind of hope that Trey and I can do this again — or maybe we’ll turn it into an open contest for the public. Who knows? All I can say is that now I’m going to take a week or two off and then work on revising and rewriting the current draft.

Thanks for following this adventure, guys. Stay tuned!

    CHALLENGE FOR TREY

William Joseph McCallister could never escape a town that was quite literally driving him crazy, until he found the body of a man who looks just like him.

    CHALLENGE FOR RYAN

One day, amidst your normal activities, you receive a mysterious phone call from someone you do not recognize. Yet they know you, and in a brief sentence, “Ryan, they want you dead- ‘click’,” they give a warning that someone wants to kill you, before hanging up abruptly. Now you must track down the person that informed you, and ultimately, who it is, if anyone, that wants you dead. Your only lead comes from a quick trace to where the phone call originated… A pay phone in the middle of the mojave desert.
